Finally made it to number 5!

Just before I sign off for the night I want to say thanks to Niki for following my blog. Xx And also to my other 3 plus Mike. Woohoo 5 followers, that makes my night!!
Niki and I worked together years ago and to be honest didn't get along to well, remember that?  Love her now though and she has just started up her own blog so to check it out her is Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor.
Thanks again Nik. xxxx

Arrrgh Matey.

Last month was a busy one for birthdays, our nephew Daniel turned 5!
He was having a pirate party so as Loch already had a Captain Jack Sparrow outfit I would make a pirate one for Jimmy. And so easy, the rougher the better I think.
I very roughly made the top and didn't hem any of it then used freezer paper to paint my design on.
The pants were a black fleece with patches sewn all over it.

Then to get into full character, time for the face paint!

I think Jimmy thought he was a chicken.

Summer Lovin.

A day at the beach before Mike left. We packed a lovely picnic, took the fishing rods and in the end didn't even get a bite and I think I'm the only one that ate the lovely salad rolls Mike had made.
But we had the best time running around in the wind and trying find pirate treasure from a peice of rope we found burried in the sand. We dug and dug and still could not pull it out. I do wonder how far it went?

Michaels Birthday Surprise

Like usual I am shockingly slow with posting things. Last month it was also Mikes birthday.
Ever since Mike was a boy he has always wanted to fly a helicopter so this year as a combined birthday/ fathers day pressie I got him a flight in a helicopter.
Now the pilot takes off and lands but when your up in the sky it's all in your hands and Michael did not like it one bit.
Not really like him as he is a bit of a thrill seeker. But he was just not comfortable up there and he was also so glad he did it so he could cross that one of the list.
Sorry pics are in complete random order.

 View coming back down.
 Stevie and I.
 Our pretty peninsula coastline.

Michael's dad came to watch too and I think he got the most out of the day. He loved every second of it.
Jimmy cried straight after this photo. I think he thought we were sending him up in the sky.
 And Loch loved it.

Jimmy's Party

Here's a look at Jimmy's party.
I made these for the girls in the pass the parcel and the boys had echo microphones.
I made a bunting out of a big curtain remnant I had and I just ironed on the letters and pictures, very quick and easy. If you remember the invites it's the same moustache and glasses.

 Jimmy room.
Then time to party.
I didn't take a pic but we had 'Pin the specs on Jimmy'
 Pinyata, always funny.

 And the cake, yummo.

And then....
