I read this post over at Crafty Carnival and was very touched, I mean how could you not be when you look at that gorgeous little girl fighting for life.
I just copied the post, it goes like this...
First, let me introduce you to Getty Amelia Storm.
Getty is a 1 year old little girl that is battling SMA1, Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA1 is slowly robbing Getty of muscle strength, weakening her body and making her extremely vulnerable. SMA1 comes with a typical life expectancy of 2-3 years. It is the number 1 genetic killer of children, and yet most have never heard of it. Today, we want to change that!
Through an amazing chain of events some wonderful people named Angela and Alex Dezen of The Damnwells have released an album of lullabies in tribute to Getty. Sweet Water Child - Lullabies for Getty is available for purchase oniTunes.
This album costs just $10 and the proceeds go to The Getty Owl Foundation. This foundation was established to help other families, like the Storms, with a diagnosis of SMA as well as provide financial assistance to find a cure!!
Please visit the website and take a listen, while deemed an album of lullabies we are sure that everyone will enjoy it. If you have twitter, facebook or a blog yourself we encourage you to give a shout out and let others know that this album is for sale!
Thank you so much for your time and for supporting Lullabies for Getty!
I listened to the album from Angela and Alex Dezen and it's so soothing and sweet. Perfect for baby or anyone to have on in the background to keep the household calm.
