I found a great blog called Llevo el invierno. Lots of great craft DIYs and pretty things to look at. This is a nice project, i'm sure the kids could help out too.
Remember to use a piece of cardboard between two layers of fabric to avoid trans.
When finished pom-poms opened the shirt of a shoulder so that the threads of the tassels are concealed.
and voila!
